Muslims’ Hard Times - Motivation from Seerah of Prophet (Pbuh)
Muslims’ Hard Times - Motivation from Seerah of Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh)
The trail which the Muslims underwent in Makkah was persecution, torture, contempt and ridicule at the hands of the polytheists. However when the Messenger of Allah ď·ş had given them permission to emigrate, their suffering took the form of leaving behind their country, their money, their possessions, and their homes.
However, the believers proved themselves to be loyal to their religion and their Sustainer in both these ordeals, and during the difficulties and hardships, with patience and unflagging determination. Hence they left all such things in their houses in Makkah in order that their faith might be pure and sound, replacing whatever they had given up in Makkah with the brothers who awaited them in Madina. The later were the ones who stood ready to provide them with shelter, protection and support. Allah helped them this way.
Allah spoke about them in the Quran: “Verily those who believed and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their poverty and their lives in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave asylum and helped these are allies to one another, and as to those who believed but did not emigrate you owe no duty of protection to them until they emigrate.” (8:72)
The abode of war is by extension any place in which it is not possible for a Muslim to perform his religiously prescribed duties such as prayer, fasting, meeting for community worship, issuing the public call to prayer and any other outward rites associated with Islam.
For a true Muslim all the ordeals and pains are nothing to be worried about, as far as his faith and belief is intact. Easier said than done - may Allah help us all remain firm on Eiman, aameen.
