Prophet Muhammed’s (ﷺ) Social Life Outside of the House
Beloved Prophet Muhammed’s (Pbuh) Social Life Outside of the House
Sayyiduna Husain (radiAllahu anhu) said: “I asked my father (Sayyiduna Ali radiAllahu anhu) about what the Prophet’s ﷺ customs were when he was out of the house. He replied: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would hold his tongue (didn’t spoke of), except in regard to matters that concerned him (anything that gave worldly and religious benefit to him and others through him).
He would make people feel comfortable, and would not frighten them off (by being coarse or harsh). He would honor noblemen of every tribe. He would be cautious of (new) people, but would not deny any of them his cheery disposition and fine character. He would miss his companions, and ask people about others.
He would praise what was good, and support it; and would condemn what was vile, and deplore it. He was consistent (in words and promises) and never contradictory. He was never inattentive, fearing that the people would become heedless or distracted. He ﷺ never fell short of truth.
The people who were close to him were the best of people; and the finest of them in his sight were the ones who most sincerely advised the people; and the greatest of them in hi sight were the ones who were the most beneficent, and helpful.’”
