Seerah for Children - Instilling Love of Beloved Prophet Muhammed (Pbuh)
Children are the assets for their parents. By assets, we don't mean financial assets which bring you money, but assets which bring you blessings. Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said that one of the ways blessings would be written in your register of deeds is pious children.
One of the easiest and loveliest ways to make your children pious is to teach them the love of Allah and Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. If you teach them the love of the Prophet ﷺ, they will definitely love all the aspects of Islam without even doubting it. Because human being doesn't doubt those whom s/he loves. Does s/he?
*What to teach?:* So you may wonder what to teach to your children to instill the love of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ? Teach them that he ﷺ was the finest and purest of all of the creations of Allah. Teach them that he ﷺ was the Chosen one (Al-Mustafa). Teach them that he ﷺ is the seal of all Prophet (alaihimussalaam) - no prophet is going to come after him ﷺ.
Teach them that he ﷺ bled for us - he never relaxed, only to see us relaxed. Teach them that he ﷺ was so great that the entire city of Makkah in which he ﷺ lived called him truthful and trustworthy. Teach them that his ﷺ character was unmatched, because Allah Himself praised our beloved Prophet's ﷺ character in Surah Al-Qalam, verse 4.
Teach them that he ﷺ was the prayer of Sayyiduna Ibraheem (a.s.). Teach them that all of the prophets (alaihimussalaam) gave glad tidings of his ﷺ coming. Teach them that he ﷺ is the Imam and leader of all of the prophets and messengers (alaihimussalaam). Teach them that he ﷺ discharged his duty of conveying Allah's message in the most beautiful and complete ways ever imaginable.
Teach them that our Prophet ﷺ is closest and precious than our own souls. Teach them that Allah took an oath by his sacred life in Quran, in Surah Al-Hijr, verse 72. Teach your children that our beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said: "Whoever loves me, Allah will love him, and whoever hates me, Allah will hate him." _(Ref: Al-Kabir by Tabrani)_
Teach them that a Muslim, a faithful, a true believer cannot become a true believer unless s/he loves Prophet Muhammed ﷺ more than his/her parents, children, and all of mankind in general. _(Ref: Bukhari)_
Teach team Seerah of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ. Read the incidents before them, before it is too late and they start loving some other characterless characters from TV, internet or Xyzwood. If you reap the seeds of love of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ now, you don't have to worry about your child's dunia and aakhirah so much! They might wander about here and there in their teenage and youth, but it would become easy for them to realize what's right and what's wrong, if you train them now. And no other way than letting them know the Seerah of Rasoolullah ﷺ can be a better investment for your child!
