The uniqueness, effective & non-forgettable leadership of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ؓ - The First Caliph of Islam

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ؓ provided the bridge between Prophet Muhammed ﷺ and the historical Islam. Without his leadership:

1. Zakat would have disappeared as a mandate and the nature of religion itself would have been altered.

2. The legal basis of the Islamic geographies would have been seriously undermined and the community would have been broken into pieces.

3. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ؓ continued the traditions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ

4. He overcame disagreements, established the rule of law, suppressed false prophets and successfully defended the newly established Islamic lands against the Byzantine and Persian Empires.

5. He demonstrated that the Muslims were a living & a dynamic community.

6. Under his leadership, Islam embarked on the process of history bereft of its Prophet ﷺ but founded by the message of the Qur'an and his Sunnah.

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (ra) - The Biggest Benefactor of the Ummah after the Noble Prophet (ﷺ)

22nd Jamadi al-Aakhir marks the passing away of the first Caliph of Islam – Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (ra). He was the one who lifted the spirits of the Muslims after the passing of our beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.

Right after this heartbreaking incident, Islam and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr’s (ra) leadership & Caliphate were challenged by major aspects like mass apostasy, emergence of fake, lying and false prophets; deniers of Zakat payers, possible strike on Makkah and Madinah by the then superpowers: the Roman and the Sassanid empires etc. Islam then walked on a perilous path, with an uncertain future.

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (ra), in just over two years of his tenure as a Caliph, faced all these challenges, eliminated them to the ground, and gifted Islam as a civilization to the world through his successor Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (ra) – a way of life for all, which was initially planted by the sacrifices of our noble Prophet ﷺ.
