Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) - The Best Host

*Hosting the delegates:* In Makkah, the Quresh who didn’t accept Islam made circumstances so difficult for Muslims that few of them had to migrate to Abyssinia. As we know that Najashi (Sayyiduna Ashama ؓ), the king of Abyssinia, who had accepted Islam as well, took care of the Muslim migrants in his lands. 

When Najashi ؓ had accepted Islam, he had sent few gifts to Prophet Muhammed ﷺ along with few members of his delegation, in ships.

Finally, when Najashi’s ؓ men reached Prophet Muhammed’s ﷺ house, the noble Prophet ﷺ began serving the members of the delegation personally. 

All the companions ؓ present their rushed up and said: “Oh Messenger of Allah ﷺ kindly remain seated, we will do this for you.” The humble and noblest of all the prophets ﷺ said: “Their King and people have shown utmost respect and caring for our people, and I would love nothing more than showing them the same welcome.” _[Ref: Dalail an-Nubuwwah, by Imam Bayhaqi ؒ]_

*Hosting common people:* It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib ؓ : “People used to meet Prophet Muhammed ﷺ in his house, bringing with themselves their questions, concerns etc. The best of the hosts, Prophet Muhammed ﷺ never used to return them until their concerns were resolved, and they were presented with something to eat as well. After being fed, his guests would leave with ample knowledge that they could convey others too.”  _[Ref: Shamail Muhammadiyyah, by Imam Tirmidhi ؒ]_
