Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) – The Promoter of Ease and Support
Beloved Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) – The Promoter of Ease and Support
How many religious, social and political leaders since the recorded history have been supportive and desirous for their nation’s well-being? If we deep-dive into this matter, we find no similitude to Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. Let’s see how he ﷺ promoted peace, charity, ease, financial freedom and much more!
Once during a journey, Prophet Muhammed ﷺ advised: “Those who have an extra mount (camel or a horse), let them lend it to those who don’t have it. (1)
At another occasion, Prophet Muhammed ﷺ was heard saying: “Whoever wishes to be safe from the hardships of the Day of Judgement should either decrease the amount owed to him by his debtors, or forgive it completely for those who cannot pay.” (2)
He ﷺ also said: “There’s a dwelling place for those who feed people and spread peace (3)
Once, he ﷺ addressed his companions ؓ and said: “Every Muslim must practice charity.” Few people expressed their concern and told that they might not have excess funds to pay it, to which Prophet Muhammed ﷺ replied: “then let such a person find extra work, and give charity from their extra income.” Then few raised concern and told that sometimes there can be no extra work found, to which he ﷺ said: “then let such a person go and help anyone who needs help.” Yet again, few people raised an issue that sometimes nobody might need help, to which the Prophet of peace ﷺ said: “let whoever finds himself in this situation avoid doing evil, and that would be his charity.” (4)
Once a loud noise was heard in Madinah, which caused fear among the people. Prophet Muhammed ﷺ himself came forward to help. He borrowed Sayyiduna Abu Talha’s horse, and rode towards the sea sea. When he ﷺ returned, he said: “Do not worry, I found there nothing else other than a sea storm.” (5) This shows the courage and supportive nature of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.
